Market and Trade Etiquette
« on: November 23, 2012, 04:47:56 AM »

Trading and bartering are what Minecraft is about in a mutiplayer forum, here are some tips and tricks to help you and the person your trading with leave happily so you can trade again in the future. These are not rules and trades aren't monitored nor enforced by Protectorates, you trade at your own risk.

1.Always trade fairly: Don't trade a pumpkin for 5 diamonds, if you want to trade for high value with low value items, compensate with quantity.
If that person needs pumpkins to make something offer them a lot of pumpkins for the 5 diamonds, this helps them get their project done faster and makes them feel like their getting their trades worth.

2.Don't act as if your wealth makes you superior to the other player: This makes players not want to deal with you and may hurt your attempts to get something you need.

3.Don't badger someone who has something you want: There will be plenty of opportunities to trade with people, if a person says no let them be.

4.Advertise in a clear way that let's others understand what you sell and what your buying: If your selling logs for 1 iron a piece make it a simple format Ie: 1 log = 1 iron

5.Make sure to double check all your details before posting: people don't like unexpected changes in cost.
This includes Market location, preferably in Z,Y,X coordinates.

That's all! have fun trading!
